Description

Clinton House is an 18th-century house with a 17th-century timber-framed core. It is two storeys high, with attics and cellars, and has a two-window front. The windows are double-hung sashes. The first-floor windows have glazing bars in the upper sashes and are set in flush cased frames. The ground-floor windows are arranged in two three-light bays, with a central doorway, all united by a triglyph frieze and cornice running across the front. The roof is tiled, with one gabled dormer.

Internally, there are exposed ceiling beams and old farmhouse doors.

The property is part of a group of listed buildings, comprising numbers 19 to 41 on the west side and numbers 4 to 20 on the east side of Bradford Street, together with Bawn Cottage and Bawn Close.
