Description

Nos 25 to 31 on Silver Street is a terrace of four cottages built in 1927 by Thomas Tait, designed in the International Modern style. The cottages are constructed of painted brick and feature a continuous rendered parapet with a flat roof. Each cottage is two storeys high and two windows wide, arranged in a symmetrical layout with two projecting blocks and recessed centre and end bays that contain the entrances. The entrance doors have been replaced and are located beneath projecting canopies. The first-floor windows are set within a recessed horizontal band, and the windows have been replaced in their original openings.
