Description
Oak Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with some later alterations. It is constructed with a timber frame and has plastered walls featuring batten decoration. The roof is half-hipped and covered with red tiles, and it includes two 19th-century grey slate catslide dormers. There is a central chimney stack made of red brick. The cottage has one storey and attics, with a two-window range of diamond leaded casements. There are 20th-century half-glazed doors on both the left and right sides, and flat carved canopies supported by chains from the top plate.
