Star Stile House

Star Stile House is an early 19th-century house constructed from gault brick in Flemish bond and topped with a slate roof. The main section faces south and features two end stacks and a central stack. There are two rear wings that create a rectangular plan, along with an additional wing extending to the rear right. The house has two storeys, and the central part of the south elevation protrudes forward, highlighted by a prominent pediment gable.

On the ground floor, there are four large sash windows with 12 lights, each featuring flat arches made of gauged brick. The first floor has four smaller sash windows with crown glass, along with a central sash window that includes marginal lights and diagonal glazing bars at the corners. The entrance features central glazed double doors with marginal lights and a rectangular overlight adorned with geometrical tracery, all set within a 20th-century porch made of gault brick with piers and a flat roof. The low-pitched roof has long overhanging eaves.

The left (west) elevation includes one ground floor sash window similar to the central sash on the south elevation, two first floor sashes, and a blind aperture on each floor. There is also an original glazed door with marginal lights and an overlight, located in an original porch made of rendered brick, which features Doric pilasters, a blocking course, dentilled eaves, and a flat roof, along with 20th-century outer glazed doors.
