Description
Colne House is an early 19th-century house constructed of gault brick in Flemish bond and topped with a slate roof. The building has a square plan, with the main entrance located on the west side and a long service wing extending to the rear. It stands two storeys tall, and the south front features a five-window range of original sash windows that include glazing bars and are topped with gauged brick arches. The rear wing also has similar windows, but these have segmental heads. The entrance is distinguished by stucco pilasters and a moulded stucco canopy. Inside, the house retains original detailing.
