Description
This is a pair of attached cottages known as Thatched Cottages, built in the early 19th century. They are plastered and topped with a thatched roof, forming a half H-plan that faces south and features three internal stacks. The cottages are one storey high with attics and have a window arrangement of 1:2:1, showcasing Gothick casements with two lights in two-centred heads, some of which retain their original diamond leading. Similar windows are present on the sides and the first floor of the rear elevation, while the ground floor has five 20th-century casements. There are doors located in each return and at the rear. The cottages were built by Mrs. Mary Gee, who was the owner of the Colne House estate.
