Description
99 and 101 Head Street is a late 15th century timber-framed building with plastered walls and a red plain tile roof. It has two storeys and attics, featuring double hung sash windows with glazing bars. At the north end, there is a carriage arch. The building includes two 18th century gabled dormers, which have horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars. The doorways have simple pedimented heads supported by fretted consoles, and No 99 has a six-panelled door. Inside, some original framing is visible, including chamfered beams and jowled storey posts. There is a late 17th century or early 18th century extension at the rear, along with a late 17th century side purlin roof.
