Description
Geldeston Lodge is an early 19th-century house constructed of gault brick and topped with a hipped slate roof. The building stands two storeys tall, with the east elevation featuring three unequal bays. It has sash windows with glazing bars and louvred shutters, all set beneath gauged skewback arches. On the left side, there is a six-panelled part-glazed door with a panelled reveal and architrave, topped by a semicircular fanlight with radiating glazing bars, which is under a rubbed brick arch of two orders.
The south elevation consists of four and two bays, with the eastern section having sash windows and a loggia supported by quatrefoil iron columns. This area also features a panelled frieze and traceried iron braces that hold up a lead-covered roof. To the left, there are three pairs of glazed doors with elliptical fanlights and rubbed arches. An off-centre chimney stack is located along the ridge line. The west side includes a canted bay with a tripartite sash window and double doors. There are also two two-storey gabled projections on the north side, and at the north-east corner, a later doorway interrupts an elliptical lunette.
