Description

This building is a barn located 30 metres west of Fishers Farmhouse, dating from the late 16th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and covered in black weatherboarding, topped with a gabled roof made of clay pantiles. The barn currently consists of 5 bays with aisles and features a gabled midstrey that is off-centre on the east side, which includes dovecote holes in its gable. Originally, the barn had 6 bays but was rebuilt after suffering a partial collapse and fire. The main structure retains its jowled posts, arch braced tie beams, and long passing braces at the back of the arcade posts. The roof has been largely renewed. This barn is included for its group value.
