The building is a house and shop occupied by Adams and Sons newsagent, dating from the early 19th century. It is a timber-framed and plastered structure with three storeys and a two-window range. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set in flush cased frames. The ground storey features a 20th-century shop front. The roof is covered with slate.
