Description

Nos. 30 and 32, St Giles Street are former houses, now shops, dating to the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century and 20th-century additions to the rear. The building is constructed of red brick with a pantile roof. It is three storeys high and has seven first-floor windows. A fine shopfront features panelled pilasters with central roundels. A left-hand, off-centre door is present, and the top lights have semi-elliptical ‘Adam’ leading. The fascias are between carved consoles, and a carriage entry is located at the extreme right. The sash windows have glazing bars and rubbed brick flat arches. First-floor casement windows on the right-hand side have ironwork balconies. A parish boundary plate, dated 1828, is also present.
