Description

40 and 41 Nelson Street is a shop and dwelling that dates from the early 19th century, although it may have earlier origins and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The building is constructed of colour-washed brick and features a slate roof with a brick stack on the left side. It has a two-unit plan and is two stories high with a two-window range. The ground floor has 20th-century shop windows, while the first floor is adorned with 12-pane sash windows. There is a passageway door located at the far right. The building also features a storey band and cogged brick eaves.
