Description

The Chase is a house, likely dating to the 17th century or earlier, with subsequent additions and alterations. The left range is timber-framed and plastered, while a part-painted brick and weatherboarded extension sits to the right. The roof is covered in red plain tiles, with two levels and three red brick chimney stacks. The house has two storeys, with a 3:1 window range on the first floor and a 4:1 window range on the ground floor, featuring mainly three-light casements with small panes. A central vertically boarded door provides access to the original range. Inside, features include an inglenook fireplace with a straight mantel beam above and chamfered bridging joists.
