Description

Windmill Cottage is a cottage of probable 17th century or earlier origin, with later alterations and an 18th and 19th century red brick facade. It is timber-framed and has a red plain tiled roof. The roof is punctuated by three gabled dormers containing 19th century casement windows. Two red brick chimney stacks are present, the one on the right featuring two original octagonal shafts. The front has a four-window range of various 19th and 20th century casements and small-paned vertically sliding sash windows, two of which are flat-roofed bays. There are two-part glazed doors, and a small lean-to is attached to the right. The building was formerly known as the Windmill Inn.
