Description
Box Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century and early 19th century. It features a timber-framed range that is underbuilt with red brick and tile hung, alongside a red brick range. The roofs are plain tiled and consist of two parallel ranges.
The front of the building has two gabled ends from the two ranges and stands two storeys high, with stacks located at the left in a catslide outshot and at the right. Each floor has two wooden casements, and there is a centrally located door to the left, which has six raised and fielded panels topped with an open pediment on fluted pilasters.
On the right side, the building also stands two storeys with stacks at both ends. The first floor features three glazing bar sashes with box surrounds, while the ground floor has two sashes with gauged heads. There is a central glazed door with a semi-circular head.
