Description

No. 1 Potton End is a cottage dating from the late 15th century or early 16th century, with later alterations. It is timber-framed, featuring roughcast render and long straw thatched roofs. The building has a ridge stack and an end stack on the right side. It is one storey with an attic and has an L-plan layout, with the hall range originally being single storeyed on the right. There are two casement windows in the gable of the crosswing on the left and one casement window to the right of the boarded door leading to the main range. Inside, the cottage has exposed wall and floor frames.
