Description

Pear Tree Cottage is a pair of cottages dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with a 19th-century extension. The building features a timber frame that is roughcast rendered and painted brick. The roofs are a combination of red pantiles and slates. It stands two storeys high, with the original cottage located to the west, designed with a lobby entry plan, and extended by one bay to the east. There is a red brick ridge stack and a gable end stack on the right side. The left side has a boarded door, while the right side features a glazed door. The ground floor includes one casement window, one 20th-century bay window, and one sixteen-paned hung sash window, with similar windows on the first floor as well as three casement windows.
