Description

No. 1 Orwell Road is a house built in the late 18th century, with an extension from the early 19th century. It features a timber frame and clunch, which is rendered, along with a red brick gable end on the northwest side. The roof is slate, and there is a red brick and gault brick ridge stack, as well as an external red brick stack on the northwest gable end. The house is two storeys high, with a range of three flush frame horizontal sliding sashes on both the first and ground floors. The front has a doorway set within a modern porch. The bay on the southeast side is either an addition or a rebuild and has clunch walls. This building is included for its group value.
