Description
No. 25 London Street is a house built in the late 18th century, with an extension added to the north in the early 19th century, which was raised in height in the mid-19th century. The building features a combination of flint and red brick construction, topped with pantiled roofs. The southern part of the house is rendered and painted, and it has two storeys with a dormer attic.
The exterior presents a single-window range, with a three-panelled door located to the right of a late 19th-century canted bay window that has five casements, both elements covered by a continuous hood. There is one 2/2 horned sash window on the first floor, and a dentil eaves cornice adds detail to the roofline. The gabled roof includes one gabled dormer with a two-light casement. An external gable-end stack is located to the south and is shared with the adjacent property. The two-storey north attachment is lit by two small windows and features a gabled roof with a dentil eaves cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
