Description
The following shall be added: FOWLMERE TL44NW & TL4246 LONG LANE 2/363 and 13/363 The Chestnuts GV II House circa C17 remodelled in early to mid. C19 and extended in 1934. Rough cast timber frame. Slate roof with gabled ends with shaped and pierced barged boards. Brick axial and gable end stack, 2 room plan eaves raised in Circa early to mid C19 and wing added on north part of right hand (east) room in 1934. 2 storeys. Almost symmetrical 2 window north elevation ground floor large C19 6-pane sash at centre and on first floor 2 light horizontally sliding sashes with glazing bars. South entrance front has 1 and 2 light casement on first floor and 2 light casement and 4-pane sash with panelled door between on ground floor over which is a verandah with corrugated iron canopy with fretted frieze on thin posts. Projecting gable-ended 1934 wings on right. Interior chamfered axial beam in both rooms of original home. Timber framing to wall-plate and tie beams survive, but roof structure replaced.
