Description

Brook Farm Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on the east side of Main Road, Little Gransden. The building is timber framed with plaster rendering on the plinth and a thatched roof at two ridge and eaves levels. It has an axial red brick ridge stack and a projecting end stack to the road, featuring two shafts linked at the capping. The cottage is a single range facing the road. The south elevation has two wood casements to each storey, with ground-floor casements on either side of the doorway. The north elevation contains two, three-light modern wood casements to each floor and a baffle entry doorway. A lower wing on the east side is contemporary, constructed with timber framing, rendering, and a thatched roof. This wing has modern openings.
