Description
Nos 18 and 20 on Church Street are a pair of cottages built around 1750. They are timber framed, roughcast rendered, and topped with a long straw thatch roof. The cottages share a red brick ridge stack that features a projecting entablature and a panel at the base inscribed with the date 1856 and the initials TWW. The buildings are two storeys high, with a handed elevation that includes two casements on both the ground and first floors, along with two doorways at the centre. Each cottage has an interior layout consisting of two rooms on both the ground and first floors. There is a boxed main beam inside, and small additions have been made at the rear.
