Description
The garden gates and railings at Chrishall Grange date from the early 18th century and are made of wrought iron mounted on limestone copings atop low red brick walls. The pair of gates features a cornice and an overthrow adorned with S and C scrolls and waterleaves. The gates have square sectioned rails with a dog rail decorated with arrow heads. The gate piers and corner piers are topped with finials and display similar S and C decorative elements. The railings are also square sectioned, with main verticals that divide five bays flanking the gates on the south boundary and six bays on the east boundary. There is a single garden gate to the west, approximately 10 feet from the house, which shares similar design details.
