Description
Cane’s Cottage is an 18th-century cottage with a 19th-century addition to the south. It is timber-framed and plastered with a thatched roof, half-hipped to the north. A small red brick ridge stack is located to the left of the original building. The cottage is one storey and attic, with a two-unit plan. The entrance is on the left and features a half-glazed door. There are four 20th-century casement windows on the ground floor. Inside, a sealed hearth with a projecting bread oven remains, along with exposed ceiling beams. The building is included on the list for group value.
