Description
The Cottage is a 17th or 18th century timber-framed house that has been plastered and is now part of a row of cottages. It features a thatched roof with gabled ends and an off-centre brick chimney stack. There are three 19th century dormers at the eaves level, each with segmental heads and thatch swept over them. The ground floor has modern casement windows, and there are modern glazed doors on the flanks. The Cottage includes an early 19th century addition at the south end, which is made of plastered clay lump and has a pantile roof. This addition is two storeys tall, has one bay, and features an early 19th century casement window on the first floor and a modern casement on the ground floor. A later 19th century cottage is located at the adjoining north end but is not included in this listing.
