Description
Dale Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It has been altered and enlarged over time, featuring a timber frame with infilling of plaster and some flints. The ground floor has been rebuilt in stone rubble. The west end of the roof is thatched, while the east end has been replaced with shingles. The cottage has casement windows and consists of one storey and an attic, with three windows and two dormers. There is a modern addition with one window bay to the east. At the back of the house, a modern single-storeyed addition in painted brick connects to a former barn or outbuilding, which is now part of the house. This outbuilding dates from the 18th century and is constructed of painted brick with a thatched roof.
