Description

The End Cottage is a cottage dating from the 18th century or earlier. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure with painted brick end walls. The roof is half hipped and thatched, with a central red brick ridge stack. The cottage has one storey and an attic, with a lobby entry and a two-unit plan. The entrance includes a boarded door flanked by two casement windows. Inside, the cottage showcases exposed timber framing and roughly chamfered ceiling beams. There is a hearth in the south room with a baking oven that projects to the west.
