Description
Tudor Thatch is a cottage dating from around 1500, with later alterations and a 20th-century extension. It features a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a thatched half-hipped roof. The building has one storey and attics, while the 20th-century extension to the northwest is two storeys with a flat roof. The windows are irregularly arranged and consist of leaded-light casements. There are modern eyebrow-type dormers and a 20th-century thatched hipped porch. A red brick chimney stack is present. Inside, the timber frame is mostly exposed and includes some reused timber from the 16th century. There is a 17th-century fireplace with a mantel beam and several original doors.
