Description

Nos. 3 and 5 Brook Street is a cottage that was formerly two separate dwellings, dating from the 17th century. It has a timber frame with rough cast render and a painted brick plinth. The thatched roof features a ridge stack and an end stack on the right side. The building is one storey with an attic. There are two sealed entrances, with stone steps leading to the main entrance, which has an early 19th-century six-panelled door. The ground floor includes two sixteen-paned hung sash windows with flush wooden frames and one casement window. Additionally, there are two horizontal sliding sash dormer windows in the attic.
