Description

Nos. 2 and 4 Church Street is a cottage, now divided into two dwelling-houses, dating from around 1700 with 19th-century details. The building is timber-framed, plaster rendered, and features a thatched roof made of combed wheat reed with a ridge stack, along with mostly original red brick. It has a single range plan consisting of three units and a lobby entry. The structure is one storey high with an attic and includes two gable dormers. There are three windows, one of which is a horizontal sliding sash. The two doors include one with raised and fielded panelling from the late 18th century.
