Description

This is a pair of cottages built in the 18th century and subject to only slight alterations in the 20th century. They are timber-framed and have been rendered with plaster, featuring a steeply pitched thatched roof made of long straw and a shared ridge stack. The cottages are two storeys high. There are two original flush frame horizontal sliding sash windows on each floor, with small panes of glass. One ground floor window has been enlarged and now contains a modern casement. Each cottage has a doorway; the one on the right has a boarded door, while the other has a 20th-century porch. The cottages are located on the southern edge of what was formerly the village green.
