Description

The Porch House is a late 18th-century house which was enlarged in the mid-to-late 19th century with the addition of a range at the rear. It is constructed of grey gault brick with a plain tiled mansard roof, featuring a dentil eaves cornice and end stacks. The house consists of a single range with a mid-to-late 19th-century parallel range at the rear, creating a double pile arrangement. It has two storeys and attics, with two dormers. The front facade has been remodelled with a three-window range of mid-to-late 19th-century recessed sash windows, each with four panes, set within flat stone arches. A late 18th-century central doorway is distinguished by a shouldered doorcase surround, a panelled door, and a Doric portico with a flat roof.
