Description

Nos. 3 and 5 on The Causeway are 17th-century cottages. They feature a timber frame with plastering, weatherboarding at the apex of the gable, and painted brick. The cottages have thatched roofs and include two gable end stacks and a ridge stack. They are one storey high with attics. The entrances are approached by brick steps, one leading to an early 19th-century reeded six-panelled door and the other to a 18th-century six-panelled door. The buildings have three horizontal sliding sash windows, one casement window, and three horizontal sliding sash dormer windows.
