Description

Forge Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with a 19th-century extension. It is constructed of gault brick and painted brick, with plain tile roofs. The cottage consists of a one-story-and-attic section to the south, featuring a Mansard roof and a ridge stack, and a two-story, two-bay extension to the north, with an end stack that may have replaced part of the original building. The south section has two first-floor, four-paned hung sash windows and two casement dormer windows. The north extension features one bay window with hung sashes to the left of a panelled door with a rectangular fanlight, and one horizontal sliding sash window and one casement window to the right.
