Description

Nos. 5 and 6 Gore Lane is a cottage that was once two separate dwellings, dating from the 17th century or earlier. It features a timber frame with plaster and has a thatched roof, which includes two flat-headed dormers. The cottage has off-centre left and external right red brick chimney stacks. There is a three-window range of 19th-century style casements with glazing bars, topped with pentice boards. The entrance is marked by a vertically boarded door. This building was likely mentioned in a former listing of Oak Cottage as adjoining tenements, along with Tudor Cottage.
