Description

Tudor Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 18th or 19th century, or possibly earlier. It is constructed with a timber frame and has plastered walls featuring batten decoration. The roof is half hipped and thatched, with a red pantile lean-to addition on the left side. A central red brick chimney stack is present. The cottage has one storey and attics, with a window arrangement of one large and two smaller casements that include transoms. The central entrance features a vertically boarded door topped with a flat canopy supported by brackets. At one time, the building was used as a Dame School. It is likely referenced in a previous listing for Oak Cottage as part of adjoining tenements, along with No. 5.
