Description

Barrington Primary School is a National School and School House built in 1839. The building is timber framed and has a roughcast render finish, topped with a reed thatched roof and two gault brick stacks. The plan features the school house with its gable end facing the road, flanked by school rooms at right angles. The school house is one storey with an attic, featuring a doorway in a thatched, gabled porch at the gable end, and three casement windows with arched top panes set in square heads. The school rooms are single storey, each with a similar three-light casement window.
