Description
The Schoolhouse at Fawley Village School is a schoolhouse built around 1830, designed as a National School. It features a yellow brick construction with a slate roof and is two storeys high, with three bays and single-storey wings at each end, creating a symmetrical appearance. The front includes a central master's house with a hip-roofed porch. There are five 12-pane sash windows set under rubbed arches, and a raised band on the first floor. The building has a hipped roof with stacks on the return ridges. The one-storey side wings contain three-light mullioned and transomed windows. There are also three-bay wings located behind the main structure. This schoolhouse is noted for its historical significance as an early example of a National School in the area.
