Description

The White Cottage is a Grade II listed cottage dating from the early 17th century. It features a timber-framed structure with plaster and long straw thatch roofing. The cottage has a ridge stack located to the left of the center, which has two shafts that are united at the head. It is one storey with an attic and follows an original three-unit plan. The entrance has a boarded door on the right side, accompanied by three three-light casement windows. There are also two horizontal sliding sash dormer windows. Inside, the cottage includes two original fireplaces and a staircase beside the hearth. The exposed timber frame showcases stop-chamfered ceiling beams.
