Description
Cuts and Curls and Lloyds Bank is a shop and bank building dating from the 17th century, with alterations and additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure topped with a plain tile roof that has a ridge stack located to the right of the center and a 20th-century red brick end stack on the left. The building has two storeys and an attic, with an original two-unit lobby entry plan that jetties to the northwest, complemented by an additional 18th-century unit to the southeast.
The façade includes two 20th-century half-glazed doors and two square bay windows without glazing bars. To the right, there is a three-light casement window set in a segmental arch. On the first floor, there are three 19th-century four-paned hung sash windows in flat arches, along with a flat-roofed dormer window featuring horizontal sliding sashes. The eaves cornice is coved and plastered.
