Description

Linton Post Office is a shop and workshop dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick with a weatherboarded gable and features a plain tile roof with a stack located to the left behind the ridge. The building has two storeys. On the ground floor, there is a sixteen-paned hung sash window to the left of a modern shop door, and a canted bay window with glazing bars to the right. The first floor contains two sixteen-paned hung sash windows, along with a large fixed-light window and a loft door to the north-east, situated above boarded doors that lead to the workshop entrance. In the early 19th century, the property was owned by a saddler.
