Description

Home Close Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on the east side of High Street in Little Eversden. The building is timber-framed with plaster rendering and a long-straw thatched roof. It has a ridge stack and a three-bay, lobby-entry plan, with one storey and an attic containing one dormer window. The doorway to the lobby has an early 19th-century door with four flush panels. Three horizontal sliding sash windows with small panes, also dating to the 19th century, are situated on either side of the doorway. Inside, a clunch fireplace features double ovolo moulding.
