Description

Gorse Cottage is an 18th-century cottage that has been extended at the road end. It features a timber frame with a rendered exterior and is topped with a long straw thatch roof. The cottage has a red and gault brick ridge stack from the 18th century, which includes some rebuilt sections. The entrance is located at the end facing the road, leading into a lobby, and the cottage has a three-bay plan. There is a doorway to the lobby with later windows on either side. Inside, the framing is exposed in both the walls and the ceiling.
