Description

Homefield is a cottage located on the east side of High Street in Little Eversden. It dates from the 17th century and the 19th century. The building is timber framed, rendered, and has a tiled roof. The 17th-century section features a red brick ridge stack, with rebuilt upper courses. It has one storey and an attic, with one gable dormer from the 18th to 19th century and another from the 20th century. There are two casement windows from the 19th century. At the south end, there is a 19th-century extension or rebuild made of brick, also tiled, with a single flue ridge stack. The entrance has a recessed doorway with a half-glazed door and a late 19th-century recessed hung sash window.
