Description

28 Market Square is a three-storey building dating from the earlier 19th century. It features four windows and has a tiled roof made of Gault brick. The building has a wooden eaves cornice and gauged flat brick arches above recessed sash windows. A notable feature is the wooden shopfront, which includes three-quarter Corinthian columns supporting an entablature with a modillion cornice. At the east end, there is a carriage entrance with a gauged flat brick arch and panelled double doors. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 16 to 46 (even).
