Description
Hall's Chemists is a late 18th century house and shop that incorporates the wall frames of an early medieval building. It stands two storeys high with attics and features a rendered timber-frame and rendered brick facade facing the street. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a tall central ridge stack. On the first floor, there are two three-light hung sash windows with glazing bars, along with a similar window to the right of the shop doorway and a smaller sash window to the left. The doorcase has panelled reveals, plain pilasters, corner bosses, and a projecting cornice. The main entry to the house is from the churchyard. Inside, there are some original 18th century details, along with 19th century shop shelves and drawers, and some exposed timber frame from the earlier building.
