Description
Hunters Rest is a house located on Church Street in Alwalton, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with later alterations in the late 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed from limestone blocks with freestone dressings and features a Collyweston stone slated roof, along with brick end stacks and a 19th-century pantiled roof. It stands two storeys tall, with a single storey extension on the left side. The façade has three symmetrical bays, featuring a 20th-century door with a rectangular fanlight above it. There are two ground floor casement windows with pointed heads, glazing bars, and keystones above flat arches, as well as two smaller first floor windows, one of which is a central blind window. The house is situated next to the boundary of the former village green.
