Description

Alwalton Office, located at 18 Oundle Road, is a cottage that has been partially converted into a shop. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with brick dressings. The building features a thatched roof with a single ridge and a single gable stack. It has six bays and is a single storey with attics. The corners are accented with red brick quoins.

The front of the building includes, on the left, a 20th-century casement window, followed by a 19th-century plank door and a blocked doorway. There is a square bay window with a slate hipped roof, and beyond that, there is another plank door and a 19th-century shop window with glazing bars in a wooden surround. Above, there is a small two-light casement dormer and a small dormer featuring a glazing bar sash.
