Description

Nos 5 and 7 Oundle Road is a 17th century house that was derelict and roofless at the time of the survey in 1979. It features a long range of coursed stone rubble with steeply pitched gable ends and a large central brick chimney stack. The building has two storeys and includes modern casements and doors. At the rear, there is one 17th century three-light ovolo moulded stone mullion window. Inside, there are three 17th century Tudor-arched stone fireplaces, with two located on the first floor and one on the ground floor. The ground floor also has a large open fireplace with a cambered timber bressumer that has a moulded and stopped chamfer.
