Description

29 Broadway is a late 17th century or early 18th century building that was refronted and likely heightened in the early 19th century. It has three storeys and features five windows. The exterior is covered in cement facing, with a stone cornice and blocking course at the top. There is a band at the second floor sill level. The windows are square-headed recessed sash windows with original glazing bars. The ground floor and part of the first floor have been altered for use as a shop and cinema. The shop includes a ceiling beam with decorated stopped chamfers. This building is part of a group that includes No. 1, 7 to 13 (odd), No. 17, and Nos. 21 to 39 (odd).
